Common sunflower Solarni CS

Stable yields in challenging conditions

The French breeding expertise of Caussade Semences presents «Solarny KS» as a practical tool for growers managing fields with high infection pressure. As a simple sunflower hybrid, it appeals to those seeking predictability: with a maturity period of 90–100 days, it integrates easily into crop rotations and allows for timely harvesting before the onset of autumn rain.

Defense against diseases and broomrape

The main advantage of this hybrid is its ability to minimize losses from pathogens through genetic resilience. «Solarny KS» provides a robust shield for crops:

• Broomrape resistance: genetically integrated protection allows for successful cultivation even in areas infested with this parasite.
• Phytosanitary barrier: effective defense against white mold (stem and head), rust, and downy mildew.

The compact structure of the plant (110–120 cm) enhances harvest efficiency. Uniform maturity of the heads combined with the manageable height reduces harvesting losses significantly. With an oil content of 45–50%, this hybrid produces high-quality grain that is highly valued by processing facilities.

Field Application Strategy

«Solarny KS» is an ideal choice for operations looking to reduce fungicide expenditure. Its inherent resistance to downy mildew and various rots allows for a more streamlined chemical application program. Its early-to-mid maturity makes it particularly well-suited for regions where avoiding late-season moisture is critical to preserve crop quality.
