Sunflower Esmeralda

Focus on Early Maturity: The 'Esmeralda' Sunflower

In the segment of ultra-early sunflower hybrids designed for stable yields in short timeframes, 'Esmeralda' from Agroplazma stands out as an effective tool for optimizing crop rotation. With a vegetation period of 90–100 days, this simple hybrid is a sought-after solution for regions with short frost-free seasons or for use as a catch crop.

Agronomic Profile

Agroplazma’s breeding strategy focuses on hybrids that efficiently utilize soil moisture during the early development stages. 'Esmeralda' features specific characteristics typical of this class: its elongated-globular, medium-sized black seeds ensure optimal flowability during sowing and uniform emergence. The simple genetic structure of this hybrid contributes to consistency in plant height and ripening timing, significantly simplifying the harvesting process.

Market Positioning and Application

Agroplazma's genetics have established a reputation as an accessible and adaptive alternative to imported seeds. 'Esmeralda' is particularly favored by farms aiming to mitigate the risks associated with late harvesting and clear fields in time for winter crops. Due to its short development cycle, the crop successfully forms well-filled heads before the onset of critical autumn temperature drops. Growers value this hybrid for its predictable results and field-friendly characteristics, making it a reliable choice for intensive farming strategies.
