Sunflower RT 0658

Stability and Oil Content: Choosing RAGT РТ 0658

RAGT French breeding is synonymous with precision and predictable results. The РТ 0658 sunflower hybrid is a top-tier selection for farmers focused on high-quality commodity grain. In today's volatile climate, this hybrid demonstrates excellent adaptability, allowing growers to project yields with confidence from the very start of the planting season.

Agronomic Profile and Resilience

The standout strength of РТ 0658 lies in its phytosanitary robustness. In high-intensity farming, where the risk of downy mildew (Peronospora) remains a significant challenge, this hybrid acts as a biological insurance policy. Its innate resistance to this pathogen eliminates the need for extra fungicide applications, directly lowering the cost per ton of production.

• Growth Metrics: The plants reach a height of 170–180 cm. This habitus is optimal for uniform ripening and simplifies harvesting operations: the head attachment height allows the use of standard headers without risking excess losses.
• Oil Content: A stellar 50–55% oil content makes this hybrid a premium raw material for crushing plants, often commanding price premiums based on quality specifications.

Practical Farm Application

Growers utilize РТ 0658 for high-input, intensive cropping systems. The hybrid responds aggressively to nitrogen fertilization, efficiently converting inputs into a high-oil-content harvest. Ideal sowing time is when soil temperatures reach 10–12°C. Thanks to a balanced root system, the hybrid maintains plant turgor and grain filling effectively, even during short-term drought stress.

When planning, it is crucial to adhere to recommended seeding rates to provide each plant with enough space to reach its genetic potential of 170–180 cm. Proper spacing prevents crowding, ensures good airflow within the crop canopy, and minimizes the risk of lodging under adverse weather conditions.
