Sunflower Oscar — this is an early-maturing, high-oleic hybrid from Serbian selection, intended for cultivation under various climatic conditions in Ukraine. The vegetation period lasts 90-95 days, enabling a quick harvest. The hybrid has a yield potential of up to 5 tons per hectare and is characterized by high fertility, contributing to a stable and high-quality harvest.
One of the key features of Sunflower Oscar is its high resistance to major diseases, such as false powdery mildew, rust, fomopsis, as well as to 7+ races of downy mildew (A-G++). The plant is genetically protected against sunflower moth and possesses a strong, sturdy stem resistant to lodging. These qualities make the hybrid particularly valuable for cultivation under drought and variable climatic conditions.
The hybrid responds well to fertilizer and growth stimulator application, allowing increased yield under proper agronomic practices. Fungicides are recommended for protection against fungal diseases. Additionally, Sunflower Oscar is attractive to pollinators, which contributes to improved seed quality. Thanks to its combination of drought resistance, cold tolerance, and disease resistance, this hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers aiming for high and stable yields.
