NS Colonel

NS Colonel sunflower is a high-yielding hybrid with excellent resistance to various external factors and diseases. It has a medium-early maturity period — around 104-107 days — enabling effective planning of agronomic activities. The plant features a low stem and large head, facilitating harvest and reducing yield losses. The hybrid is resistant to diseases such as rust, frogepsis, downy mildew, and powdery mildew, as well as pests, significantly reducing the need for intensive chemical protection. NS Colonel seeds have high oil content — 46-48% — and protein content of 16-18%, making this sunflower attractive to the oilseed industry. The hybrid’s yield potential reaches 5.7-5.8 tons per hectare, confirmed by practical results in various climatic zones. Recommended planting density varies depending on growing conditions: 55-60 thousand plants per hectare in moderately humid areas, and 45-50 thousand in arid regions. Seeds are supplied directly from the NS SEME factory in Serbia, guaranteeing high quality and compliance with standards. The NS Colonel hybrid exhibits adaptability to planting dates and resistance to drought and stress conditions, enabling successful cultivation in various agro-climatic zones, including Steppe, Forest Steppe, and Polissia. Treatment with thiiram and metalaxyl provides additional protection against diseases during early growth stages. High oleic content in seeds (52-55%) and favorable oil characteristics make this sunflower an attractive choice for farmers seeking a stable and high-quality yield.
