Sunflower hybrid variety Mero ST is a high-yielding, mid-season hybrid with a maturity period of 111 to 115 days. Plants reach a height of 160-170 cm, and the head diameter is 19-23 cm. The hybrid is characterized by high resistance to a wide range of diseases, including downy mildew A-F, white and gray mold, rust, fomoz, and fomopsis, as well as tolerance to adverse conditions such as drought. Seeds are treated with protectants Cruiser, Maxim XL, and Vitazim, providing additional protection and promoting successful growth. Mero ST has high adaptability to growing conditions and self-pollination, making it a reliable choice for various climatic zones. To enhance the effectiveness of plant protection when growing sunflowers, it is recommended to use a non-ionic wetting agent based on rapeseed oil, which improves pesticide distribution and absorption on leaves. This agent enhances the efficacy of fungicides, insecticides, and herbicides, increasing their rainfastness and reducing phytotoxicity risk when applied at recommended rates. Due to the absence of pre-harvest intervals and compatibility with organic farming, the wetting agent is a safe and effective tool for crop protection.
