LS MAGISTRAL — a mid-late maturing sunflower hybrid, suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones, including the Ural, West Siberian, East Siberian, and Central Chernozem regions. This hybrid is characterized by high resistance to Striga races A-G, ensuring stable yields even under adverse conditions. The vegetative period is approximately 118 days, and the 1000-seed weight reaches 63 grams. Plants are very tall at maturity, with green leaves and yellow disc flowers. The hybrid belongs to an intensive type with high yield potential and stable productivity on high agrofond. LS MAGISTRAL demonstrates high yields, which vary by region: in the Ural region, the average yield is about 13 centners per hectare, in the West Siberian region — 12.2 centners per hectare, in the East Siberian region — up to 33 centners per hectare, and in the Central Chernozem region, the average yield reaches 34 centners per hectare, with maximum values up to 51.6 centners per hectare. The hybrid has high oil content — from 43.1% to 49.4%, with oil content in seeds ranging from 47.5% to 49.4%, making it attractive for oil production. The recommended planting density depends on moisture conditions: in dry zones — 50-55 thousand plants per hectare, in zones with sufficient moisture — 55-60 thousand plants per hectare. The LS MAGISTRAL hybrid exhibits good resistance to major sunflower diseases, including Striga, powdery mildew, Phomopsis, sclerotinia, and rust, which helps reduce crop losses and lowers protection costs. It is also resistant to lodging and drought, allowing successful cultivation using both intensive and extensive technologies. Thanks to the Clearfield® and OR Master Premium protection systems, the hybrid provides reliable protection against aggressive Striga races, making it a versatile and effective choice for various agroclimatic conditions.
