Common sunflower Mas 92.B

Field stability and crop health with «Mas 92.B»

When selecting a hybrid for fields with high disease pressure, the «Mas 92.B» from Maisadour Semences proves to be a reliable asset for any agronomist. This simple hybrid of French origin has established itself as a "workhorse" that forgives minor technical errors and provides solid results under standard management.

Field performance: development and resistance

The primary advantage of this sunflower is its robust immune system. Phoma, Sclerotinia, and Downy Mildew are not critical issues: the hybrid shows excellent resistance, significantly reducing the need for excessive fungicide applications. Throughout the season, this translates into cost savings on chemicals and fewer machine passes through the field.

Agronomic features and harvesting

• Growing season: 100–110 days, offering ideal timing for unhurried harvest planning.
• Oil content: a stable 45–50%, which is crucial for oil extraction facilities.
• Head shape: convex, which facilitates threshing and ensures clean grain separation.
• Morphology: black, narrow-ovate seeds with excellent hectoliter weight.

For combine operators, this hybrid is hassle-free: high uniformity and even ripening allow for optimal threshing adjustments and a steady working speed. The lack of excessive lodging makes the harvest predictable, eliminating time wasted on recovering downed crops. For a farming business, this directly results in reduced fuel consumption and lower machinery depreciation per harvested hectare.
