Sunflower Limo

Prioritizing Early Maturity and Resilience

In today's volatile climate, selecting a hybrid that combines short maturity with reliable disease resistance is essential for farm profitability. The 'Limo' sunflower hybrid by Grand Semens represents a pragmatic choice for growers aiming for predictable results. As a simple hybrid of Ukrainian selection, it features a fast growth cycle, reaching maturity in just 90–100 days.

Comprehensive Pathogen Defense

The core value proposition of 'Limo' lies in its extensive genetic resistance to major sunflower diseases. Grand Semens has developed this hybrid to withstand harsh conditions where infection pressure is high, effectively reducing the need for aggressive fungicide applications. The hybrid demonstrates strong resistance to:

• White and grey root rot;
• Downy mildew and charcoal rot;
• Phomopsis, phoma, and powdery mildew.

This biological "shield" ensures that the crop maintains energy for high-quality seed development rather than wasting resources on combating infections.

Field Performance

With a plant height of 140–150 cm, 'Limo' is engineered for mechanical harvesting efficiency. The uniform ripening pattern minimizes harvest losses and simplifies field operations. Being specifically adapted to Ukrainian soil and climate conditions, this hybrid offers consistent performance across various soil types. Whether for regular production or double-cropping cycles, 'Limo' provides the stability required to manage risks in difficult agricultural seasons.
