Sunflower seeds LG50500 are a medium-early linoleic hybrid developed for efficient cultivation in the forest-steppe and northern steppe zones of Ukraine. Plants are medium-height, approximately 159 cm tall with a flower head diameter of about 18 cm, providing optimal conditions for yield formation. The average 1000-seed weight is 60 g, indicating good seed quality. The cultivation technology is conventional, with recommended planting rates varying depending on soil moisture: 43-50 thousand plants per hectare under insufficient moisture, up to 55 thousand/ha under adequate moisture. In addition, the seeds demonstrate high drought tolerance, making them a reliable choice for regions with variable climates. The hybrid is also resistant to diseases such as Fomopsis, root and head gray rot, anthracnose, and dry rot, ensuring stable and high-quality yields. The yield potential of LG50500 is rated at 8 out of 10, with stability at 9 and oil content also at 9, making this hybrid attractive for oilseed production. Energy for initial growth and stress tolerance are at a high level, promoting successful plant development under various agro-climatic conditions. The recommended plant density before harvest depends on soil moisture and ranges from 43 to 55 thousand/ha. Thanks to its characteristics and adaptability, LG50500 is an effective solution for farmers aiming to achieve high and quality sunflower yields.
