Larissa

Larissa is a high-yielding mid-season sunflower hybrid developed by the Romanian company "Quality Crops". Plants of this hybrid reach a height of 150-180 cm, have medium-sized dark gray heads that are half-turned downward. The vegetative period is 123-128 days, classifying Larissa as an early-maturing variety. Seeds are medium-sized with oil content ranging from 50% to 54%, making this hybrid ideal for oil production.

The Larissa hybrid is characterized by high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including downy mildew, sunflower rust, alternaria, frogeye, and race A of the sunflower mosaic virus. In addition, plants exhibit high resistance to lodging and shattering, which helps preserve yield. Larissa also demonstrates high tolerance to both air and soil drought, making it suitable for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe zones.

This sunflower hybrid is recommended for planting on well-prepared fields with optimal temperature and moisture conditions. The seed yield potential is approximately 5.0-5.5 t/ha, ensuring a stable and high-quality harvest.
