L G 5631 KL is a medium-early, high-yielding sunflower hybrid developed by Limagrain. It features high yield potential and is suitable for cultivation in the Southern Forest-Steppe and Northern Steppe regions. The plants of this hybrid are medium-height, reaching approximately 160 cm at flowering, sturdy and well-rooted, ensuring resistance to lodging. The stem tip is adorned with a well-filled head up to 17 cm in diameter, and the seeds are medium-sized, black, with a thousand-seed weight of about 71 g. The L G 5631 KL hybrid exhibits plasticity and adaptability to various cultivation technologies, though optimal results are achieved with intensive technology. It is resistant to stress factors such as spring frosts and summer heat, ensuring stable high yields. Additionally, the hybrid is tolerant to new races of downy mildew, and resistant to head and root rot, black and dry rot, and to fomosis and fomopsis, significantly reducing the risk of yield losses. The L G 5631 KL seed material is suitable for the Clearfield Plus production system and resistant to ragweed strains A-G. When planting density norms are followed, the hybrid demonstrates strong early vegetative growth, contributing to the formation of a robust and healthy plant mass. The high oil content in the seeds makes this hybrid attractive for industrial production. The use of growth stimulators and microfertilizers can further increase yield and seed quality.
