Sunflower LG 5485

LG 5485 — a mid-season sunflower hybrid developed by Limagrain, known for its high yield and stability. This hybrid belongs to the medium-height maturation group, reaching an average height of about 160 cm, which provides lodging resistance. The mass of a thousand seeds is 72 g, and the head diameter reaches 16 cm, which facilitates efficient harvesting and oil processing.

One of the key features of LG 5485 is its high resistance to stress factors, including drought and major sunflower diseases. The hybrid shows tolerance to 7 races of rust (A-G) and resistance to new races of downy mildew, making it a reliable choice for growing in complex climatic conditions. Thanks to these qualities, LG 5485 maintains development rates even with insufficient moisture, which is especially important for regions with hot and arid climates.

LG 5485 is recommended for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Steppe zones of Ukraine, where it shows the best results with intensive cultivation technology. The potential yield of the hybrid reaches up to 45 c/ha, making it profitable for farmers focused on high productivity and product quality. LG 5485 is suitable for southern Ukraine conditions, providing a stable and quality crop even in complex weather conditions.
