The Sunflower IR 93 (MAS 93.CP) is a mid-early maturity hybrid with a 115-118 day vegetation period, intended for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Steppe zones. It is adapted to Clearfield Plus technology, which ensures effective control of sunflower rust and reduces herbicide carryover in the soil. The hybrid is characterized by high drought tolerance and resistance to lodging, which contributes to a stable and high-quality yield under continental conditions.
One of the key features of IR 93 is dual protection against sunflower rust through genetic resistance to 7 races (A-G) and the application of the herbicide EuroLightning Plus. This allows for a significant reduction in plant damage by this pest. The hybrid also demonstrates excellent tolerance to the main sunflower diseases, including powdery mildew, Phoma brown spot, sclerotinia, and rust, ensuring healthy plant condition throughout the growing season.
Sunflower seeds IR 93 have a high oil content – 47-49%, which makes this hybrid attractive for the production of oilseed products. The recommended planting density varies depending on moisture conditions: 50-55 thousand plants per hectare under insufficient moisture, and 60-65 thousand/ha under sufficient moisture. Seeds are supplied in packs of 150,000 pieces, treated with AGROSTART and PONCHO D150 preparations to improve initial growth rates and protect against diseases.
