FS 73020 — this is a high-yielding sunflower hybrid intended for cultivation in southern regions. It is distinguished by high resistance to seven aggressive races of black spot disease (Chara A-G+), providing reliable protection for crops. The hybrid features a well-developed root system and strong stem, contributing to high resistance to lodging and enabling it to withstand adverse weather conditions. The vegetative period is 115-120 days, and plant height varies from 170 to 185 cm depending on growing conditions and region. FS 73020 is characterized by high drought tolerance and plasticity to sowing dates and environmental conditions, making it versatile for various agronomic practices. The hybrid responds well to foliar applications of microelements, potassium and sodium humates, and growth regulators, helping plants recover quickly from stresses caused by herbicide treatment or adverse weather. Special importance is given to the use of boron mono-chelate, which promotes plant development from root to bud and improves flower pollination. The hybrid is resistant to dense sowing and tolerant to herbicides containing tribenuron-methyl (750 g/kg) at a dose of 50 g/ha without growth inhibition. The optimal sowing density is 55-60 thousand plants per hectare. FS 73020 also exhibits resistance to shattering and is suitable for early sowing. The potential yield of the hybrid reaches 50.2 centners per hectare, making it an advantageous choice for producing high-quality sunflower oil.
