F 73020 — sunflower hybrid intended for cultivation in southern regions of Ukraine using the Sumo technology. It is distinguished by high drought resistance and resistance to seven aggressive strains of the fox tick parasite (chara A-G+). The plants have a well-developed root system and strong stems, ensuring high resistance to lodging and seed shattering. The vegetative period of the hybrid is 115-120 days, and plant height varies from 170 to 185 cm depending on growing conditions. Optimal planting density — 55-60 thousand plants per hectare.
The F 73020 hybrid is characterized by high productivity with potential yields up to 50.2 c/ha and high oil content in seeds. Due to rapid growth during early development stages, it exhibits high competitiveness against weeds. Plants are resistant to major diseases and pests of sunflowers, and are tolerant to dense planting. To enhance stress resistance and improve growth, foliar application of microelements, potassium and sodium humates, and growth regulators during the vegetative period is recommended.
F 73020 is suitable for cultivation in steppe and forest-steppe zones, demonstrating high cold tolerance and stability under adverse weather conditions. The hybrid is resistant to herbicides containing tribenuron-methyl (50 g/ha), allowing effective weed control without stopping plant growth.
