Sunflower 2472 IMI

Clean fields and stable yields with 2472 IMI

The «2472 IMI» sunflower hybrid from NPO «Galaktika» is designed for farmers seeking a reliable tool for high-weed fields. Engineered for the Clearfield system, this simple hybrid allows for precise herbicide applications, effectively controlling weeds and broomrape without damaging the crop. It is a practical solution for those prioritizing automated weed management as part of their seasonal agronomic plan.

Resilience against major pathogens

Field performance of «2472 IMI» is defined by its robust health profile. The selection process focused on reducing the need for unplanned fungicide interventions, which helps in cutting production costs. The hybrid shows confirmed resistance to several critical diseases:

• Downy mildew (Peronospora): Ensures high stand density throughout the growth cycle.
• Phomopsis: Protects the integrity of the stem until harvest, preventing lodging.
• Phoma: Minimizes leaf damage, allowing the plant to maintain maximum photosynthetic activity.

Operational benefits for modern farming

For growers using intensive cultivation methods, «2472 IMI» offers a strategic advantage. By managing weed competition during the early stages of vegetation, the hybrid maximizes access to water and nutrients. This proves particularly beneficial in regions where moisture levels fluctuate during the growing season. The result is a robust, uniform crop that reaches harvest maturity with minimal loss, making it an excellent choice for a well-planned, efficient farming operation.
