The hybrid sunflower EXS 19 is a high-yielding interlinear hybrid of intensive type for oilseed use. It features rapid early growth, a well-developed root system, and a strong stem, ensuring high resistance to lodging. The vegetation period is 115-120 days, and plant height reaches 170-180 cm. The hybrid demonstrates high plasticity and tolerates both soil and air drought, making it adaptable to various climatic conditions. EXS 19 exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including false powdery mildew, white and gray mold, phomopsis, and phomosis. Additionally, it is resistant to seven aggressive strains of ragweed (wolf) types A-G, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. The hybrid also shows resistance to herbicides containing tribenuron-methyl, such as Granstar and Express, facilitating weed control. In terms of yield, the hybrid EXS 19 consistently delivers high results, exceeding 30 centners per hectare, with seed purity not less than 390 g/L and oil content ranging from 43-52%. It responds well to high agrofond and mineral fertilizers, enabling maximum potential realization. Due to its characteristics and resistance, EXS 19 is recommended for cultivation in various natural-climatic zones, ensuring reliable and high-quality sunflower yields.
