Elvas

The Elvas hybrid sunflower is a linoleic type with high yield and oil content potential, making it attractive for cultivation across all of Ukraine. The vegetation period is approximately 100-115 days, allowing for an early harvest. Plants reach heights of 125 to 168 cm, have medium-sized flower heads with a diameter of 18-24 cm, and 1000 seed mass varies from 60 to 68 grams. Seeds are black with stripes along the edges, which is characteristic of this hybrid.

Elvas exhibits high resistance to various diseases and adverse conditions. It shows resistance to downy mildew, phomopsis, phomosis, gray mold, rust, and white root rot, with resistance ratings from 7 to 9 on the resistance scale. In addition, the hybrid demonstrates excellent drought and heat tolerance, allowing successful cultivation under dry climatic conditions. Plants have medium stem thickness and dark green, heart-shaped leaves, which promote good photosynthesis and growth.

To achieve optimal yield, it is recommended to follow specific planting density: 60-65 thousand plants per hectare in forest-steppe zones, and 55-60 thousand in steppe zones. Seeds are treated and prepared for planting according to international OECD standards, guaranteeing high-quality planting material. Due to its agronomic-biological characteristics and adaptability to soil-climatic conditions, the Elvas hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to obtain high and stable sunflower yields.
