It has a vegetation period ranging from 88 to 128 days depending on the region, allowing for economic maturity in early September without desiccants. The variety is recommended for cultivation in the Central Chernozem and Middle Volga regions, particularly in Tambov and Penza Oblasts.

Plants of the Chakinskiy 100 variety are tall with green leaves, and the flower head is bright yellow. The seeds feature strongly expressed marginal stripes. Average yield in the Central Chernozem region is 26.1 centners per hectare, with oil content reaching 49.9%. The variety shows resistance to false powdery mildew, but is susceptible to white mold.
