Balu

Balу sunflower is an early-maturing hybrid of moderately intensive type, with high yield and oil potential up to 50%. This hybrid is characterized by a rapid start and early development, ensuring a stable and high yield under various soil-climatic conditions. The plant has a medium height of about 150-160 cm and a flower head diameter of 20-24 cm, which facilitates harvesting and reduces the risk of lodging even with dense planting.

One of the key features of Balu sunflower is its high resistance to all races of downy mildew (A-G+), making it the leader in downy mildew resistance in the early segment. Moreover, the hybrid exhibits excellent tolerance to major sunflower diseases such as phomopsis, phomosis, sclerotinia, verticillium, and rust. Thanks to these qualities, as well as drought and stress resistance, Balu demonstrates stable productivity and adaptability in various cultivation regions, including Steppe, Forest Steppe, and Polесье.
