Sunflower MAG 4219

Focus on Ultra-Early Maturity

In the face of climate instability, the "MAG 4219" hybrid from Zemlyakoff Genetics stands out as a strategic asset for growers prioritizing risk mitigation. Unlike standard mid-season hybrids, this sunflower variety is specifically bred to escape peak summer droughts by completing its development cycle ahead of the heat stress.

Agronomic Profile

The core strength of this hybrid is its flexible growing season. Depending on local thermal units and regional conditions, the maturity period ranges from 90 to 120 days. This allows farmers to optimize crop rotation, effectively freeing fields for winter wheat seeding even in areas with short growing seasons.

Strengths and Considerations

• Oil Content: An oil yield of 45-50% makes this crop highly desirable for processors, ensuring a consistent premium for high-quality grain.
• Growth Vigor: The deep black seeds exhibit high germination energy, resulting in uniform stands even in challenging, dry soil conditions.
• Yield Dynamics: While its ultra-early maturity trait provides safety, its yield potential may be slightly lower than that of full-season hybrids; however, this is balanced by the security of harvesting before autumn rains.

"MAG 4219" is the ideal choice for producers who prioritize reliability and logistical planning, ensuring a successful harvest cycle that minimizes exposure to late-season weather hazards.
