Sugar beet of the 'Tisserin' variety is a mid-season hybrid developed by Swiss breeders of Syngenta AG and the French breeder SAS 'Florimond Desprez Veuve et Fils'. This variety was included in the State Register in 2018 and is characterized by a conical root shape with a root depth of 99%. The above-ground part of the plant has green coloring, while the underground part is white. The leaves are intermediate in position, light green in color, which contributes to good photosynthesis and plant development. 'Tisserin' is distinguished by high yield and sugar content. In trials in the Almaty region, the yield reached 578 centners per hectare, and in the Jambyl region — 804.4 centners per hectare. The mass of one root reaches 833.5 grams, and the sugar content varies from 16.3% to 16.7%. Sugar harvests in the regions amounted to 96.6 and 135 centners per hectare, respectively, making this variety especially attractive for industrial sugar production. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to diseases, including powdery mildew and fusarium rot, as well as pests and lodging. Due to these qualities and high drought tolerance, the variety is suitable for mechanized cultivation and harvesting, significantly simplifying agronomic processes. Recommended for cultivation in the Almaty and Jambyl regions, ensuring a stable and high-quality sugar beet harvest.
