The root vegetables have an oval shape and weigh from 250 to 370 grams, possessing juicy and tender flesh without unpleasant rings, which ensures an excellent taste. This variety differs in its versatility of use: it is suitable for preparing borscht, salads, side dishes, canning, and making juices, and is also well stored during the winter period.
The maturation period is approximately 80-95 days after seedling emergence, which allows for obtaining a fresh crop already at the beginning of the season. Beet QARITSA is unpretentious in cultivation, withstands various weather conditions well, and is resistant to pests. Seeds germinate well on any soil types, including fertile neutral soils, which makes this variety available for cultivation in different regions.
For successful cultivation, it is recommended to choose light and open areas, conduct sowing in spring, in April-May, at a depth of about 3 cm. An important stage of care is regular thinning, weeding, watering, and soil loosening. To increase yield, it is useful to apply fertilizers based on potassium and ash.
