Technical Potential of the «Zolotysta» Variety

Developed by the Institute of Fodder of the UAAS, this soybean variety is designed to provide a stable fodder base within Ukrainian climatic zones. The primary engineering goal was to combine high protein concentration with robust phytosanitary resistance to minimize yield losses under intensive agricultural management.

Biometric Parameters and Plant Architecture

The variety shows significant growth flexibility, reaching heights between 70 and 120 cm depending on soil fertility and moisture levels. A key technical feature is the pod attachment height of 10–14 cm. This design is crucial for mechanized harvesting, as it allows for a low header cut while minimizing the intake of soil, thereby reducing grain contamination and physical harvest losses.

Seed Quality Metrics

«Zolotysta» offers a balanced biochemical profile, making it a viable option for industrial processing:

• Protein Profile: Crude protein content ranges from 35% to 39%, meeting the rigorous requirements for feed production.
• Oil Content: Ranging from 20% to 23%, the variety is classified as versatile for different processing routes.

Phytosanitary Reliability

The genotype incorporates integrated resistance to bacteriosis. This specific trait is essential for preventing pathogen development under high humidity, which typically leads to pod rot and reduced seed viability. Utilizing this variety effectively reduces the dependency on intensive fungicide applications, ensuring higher yield quality throughout the crop rotation cycle.
