Soybean Zelda

Stability and predictability in the field

Working with the 'Zelda' soybean variety from Semences Prograin, you quickly realize that Canadian breeding focuses not on marketing buzz, but on field cleanliness and uniform maturity. The 90-100 day growing season fits comfortably into the harvest schedule, helping to avoid the risks of late-season autumn rains.

Operating experience

Regarding seeding and maintenance, the variety behaves consistently.

• Uniform germination: the variety possesses high seedling vigor, which is critical for establishing optimal stand density.
• Lodging resistance: the stalk is sufficiently strong, simplifying harvesting operations and minimizing seed loss at the header.
• Uniform ripening: lower pods do not dry out too prematurely, reducing the risk of shattering before the machinery enters the field.

'Zelda' is a choice for those aiming to control crop protection costs. The crop demonstrates good resistance to common regional diseases, meaning you don't overspend on unnecessary fungicide applications. Given the growing cycle duration, this variety is ideal for those planning winter crop planting immediately after the soybean harvest. In the context of a tight agrotechnical calendar, this operational efficiency is a key argument for choosing this hybrid.
