Soybean Raido

A Strategy for Ultra-Early Maturity

In the context of the changing climate in Ukraine, crop breeding has shifted towards varieties capable of escaping peak summer heat and drought. "Raido," developed by the Institute of Organic Agriculture, stands out as a prime example of ultra-early genetics, perfectly suited for farms focused on intensive crop rotation.

Agronomic Profile

With a vegetation period of 90–100 days, "Raido" offers farmers a distinct advantage: the ability to complete harvesting by late August. This timeline is crucial for clearing fields in time for winter crop sowing. The variety demonstrates remarkable stability across diverse soil and climate zones, showing high adaptability regardless of soil fertility levels.

Market Positioning

The variety's origin from the Institute of Organic Agriculture research school ensures high environmental plasticity. For those operating in the organic segment, "Raido" has become a benchmark for reliability, offering several competitive advantages:

• Vigorous early growth, which helps the crop canopy close quickly, effectively suppressing weeds without heavy chemical intervention.
• Stable pod formation and resistance to shattering during maturation, reducing harvest losses.
• High protein content, meeting the strict requirements of export markets for organic products.

Integrating this variety into production allows both small-scale farmers and large agricultural holdings to optimize their harvest logistics. "Raido" prevents equipment bottlenecking, ensuring that harvesting activities are completed within a narrow, manageable window before the onset of autumn rains.
