The Rufian soybean variety is a mid-late determinate variety intended for cultivation in the North Caucasus region, specifically in the Rostov region. The plant is characterized by medium or high height, white flowers, and yellow seeds with a light brown tint. The vegetative period ranges from 120 to 130 days, and flowering begins early. The mass of 1000 seeds reaches 160 grams, indicating the variety's large-seededness. The pubescence of the main stem has a reddish-brown tint, while the side leaflets of the compound leaf have an oval-obovate shape. The hypocotyl lacks anthocyanin coloration.
The Rufian variety is distinguished by its high yield, which in the growing region averages 20.6 centners per hectare. The seeds contain a significant amount of protein — 39.1%, as well as fat — 21.2%, making this variety particularly valuable for the production of protein and oilseed raw materials. Seeds are supplied in an untreated form, ensuring their availability and ease of use in agricultural practice.
This variety was developed by the domestic breeding company 'Russian Genetics', which specializes in creating soybean varieties adapted to various climatic conditions in Russia. Rufian is one of the promising varieties included in the State Register, confirming its quality and suitability for intensive cultivation in the specified regions. Thanks to its characteristics, the variety is suitable for obtaining a high-quality harvest with high protein and fat content, which is important for agricultural production and processing.
