Soybean Podil'ska 1

Stable yields in changing climate conditions

The Podilska 1 soybean variety, developed by the breeders at Podilskyi State Agrarian and Technical University (PDATU), is a reliable asset for farms focused on balanced production of feed and commercial grain. The primary purpose of this variety is to ensure predictable yields in the forest-steppe zone of Ukraine while maintaining high quality raw material standards.

Agronomic indicators and practical application

The practical preference for Podilska 1 is driven by the consistency of its grain biochemical composition. With a protein content of 37–39%, this variety is highly attractive for processors manufacturing high-protein meal and isolates. The oil content of 18–19% falls within the optimal range for grain-oriented soybean varieties.

• Crop Rotation: The variety shows excellent response to preceding crops in intensive rotations and demonstrates resilience to typical vegetative period stresses.
• Harvesting: Its physiological maturity traits allow for efficient mechanized harvesting with minimal losses, which is critical for large agribusinesses and farms with limited operational windows.
• Processing: High protein content allows farmers to secure premium pricing when supplying crops to soybean meal production facilities.

Choosing Podilska 1 is a pragmatic decision for agronomists aiming to combine high productivity with predictable technological grain parameters, effectively reducing farm economic vulnerability to the volatility of global oilseed markets.
