Soybean variety Favorit is the result of selection by a scientific institute in Novi Sad, Serbia. It is a mid-early variety with a vegetation period of 90 to 96 days, reaching plant height of approximately 88-90 cm under moderate moisture. The variety is characterized by high yield, exceeding 45 centners per hectare, and drought resistance, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Sumy, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Khmelnytskyi regions.
Favorit is characterized by high content of beneficial substances in seeds: oil content is 21-22%, and protein content is approximately 38-40%. Optimal plant density at harvest varies depending on the region, reaching 450-500 thousand plants per hectare. Thanks to these characteristics, the variety ensures a stable and high-quality yield, which is especially important for agricultural producers.
In addition, there is an ultra-early modified soybean variety resistant to the herbicide Roundup, which matures 5-7 days earlier than standard varieties and has a potential yield of up to 50-55 centners per hectare. This variety is characterized by high adaptability to various soil types and climatic conditions, as well as resistance to major soybean diseases such as frogeye leaf spot and downy mildew. This resistance allows effective weed control without harming the crop, reducing costs for seed treatment and increasing production profitability.
