JAMBO STAR

JAMBO STAR is a trilinear sorghum-sudangrass hybrid characterized by a late maturity period. The plant features a long stem with a juicy core, medium-length and width leaves, and a symmetrical panicle. Upon maturity, the glumes turn brownish, while the seeds exhibit a reddish-brown color. Anthocyanin pigmentation of the seedlings is moderate, indicating good plant resistance. Maximum dry matter yield in the region reaches 141.7 centners/ha, confirming the hybrid's high productivity. The JAMBO STAR hybrid is intended for use in agriculture as a grain-feed crop, widely applied in livestock farming as high-quality feed for cattle. It is excellent for creating binary crops with corn and harvesting as cereal silage, expanding its application possibilities in agronomy. Green mass yield potential can reach 70 tons per hectare, making this hybrid attractive for farmers focused on high feed base indicators. Plants reach a height of 0.8 meters and more at the first cut, ensuring a significant volume of green mass. Lignin content in the plant does not exceed 6%, promoting good digestibility of feed by animals. Additionally, the hybrid contains up to 18% sugar and 8-10% protein, increasing its nutritional value. JAMBO STAR is resistant to high soil pH values, and the recommended seeding rate varies depending on the sowing method: 4-6 kg/ha with a 70 cm row spacing and 8-20 kg/ha with a 15 cm row spacing for hay and silage production. The optimal soil temperature for sowing is +12°C.
