Sorghum ELTONSKOE

Stable yields in arid conditions

The «Eltonskoye» sorghum variety from Eco Etalon Ferma is a selection product designed for farms operating in high-risk agricultural zones. Focused on grain production, this variety demonstrates high adaptability to sharp climatic fluctuations. Due to the efforts of originators V.Y. Dushkov, B.Y. Dushkov, and V.S. Glinyanov, the variety successfully combines early maturity with strong productivity potential.

Agrotechnological advantages

The key value of this variety lies in its 90–100 day growing season. In moisture-deficit conditions, this factor becomes decisive for crop rotation planning. Farmers choose this variety for several practical purposes:

• Harvest cycle optimization: the short vegetation period allows for harvesting before autumn rains, ensuring grain quality.
• Risk mitigation: the variety efficiently utilizes winter and spring moisture, minimizing reliance on unpredictable summer rainfall.
• Resource efficiency: the crop does not require excessive nitrogen application, which reduces the cost per ton of grain.

Practical application in crop rotation

«Eltonskoye» is ideally suited for farms engaged in livestock production and deep grain processing. It performs stably on chestnut and chernozem soils. Agronomists highlight the uniformity of the stands and resistance to lodging, which is critical for mechanized harvesting with grain combines. Utilizing «Eltonskoye» allows farms to meet their requirements for high-energy forage grain while effectively filling the gap between the harvest of early and late-season crops.
