Sabinus

Sabinus sunflower is a high-yielding hybrid adapted to the climatic conditions of the south-eastern part of Ukraine. It is distinguished by high drought resistance, which is especially important for regions with limited rainfall during the growing season. The growing period of the hybrid is approximately 115 days, allowing for a stable harvest even under drought conditions. In addition, Sabinus is resistant to aggressive races of downy mildew, reducing the risk of yield losses and enhancing the economic efficiency of cultivation.

This is an annual plant with a strong stem and dark green leaves, reaching a height of 1.5 to 3 meters. The inflorescences are large, with bright yellow petals, blooming at the end of summer to early autumn, attracting numerous pollinators, including bees. These characteristics contribute to good pollination and the formation of high-quality seeds.

Growing Sabinus sunflower requires consideration of agronomic practices specific to Ukraine's climate. The optimal temperature for plant development is +18...+25°C, and the amount of rainfall during the growing season is usually sufficient for normal growth. When selecting a hybrid, it is recommended to avoid varieties intended for the EuroLighting system, as they are less drought-resistant. Proper hybrid selection, planting timing and depth, crop care, and timely harvest ensure maximum productivity and quality of the harvested raw material.
