Description VILANA
Soybean variety «Vilana» is a mid-season variety developed by Kazakhstani breeders at the Kazakhstan Research Institute of Agriculture and Plant Breeding. The plant is characterized by a bushy, compact form with a green stem and purple flowers. The pods are slightly curved, and the seeds are round-elongated with a yellow color. The mass of 1000 seeds varies from 144.8 to 162 grams, indicating the large-fruited nature of the variety.

The «Vilana» variety is distinguished by high resistance to lodging, pod cracking and shattering, as well as resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew, grey mold, and stem cancer. It possesses high drought resistance, which allows for successful cultivation in various climatic conditions, including dryland zones. Maturation takes an average of 115-118 days, making the variety mid-season.

The yield of the «Vilana» variety ranges from 2.5 to 5.7 tons of grain per hectare, while in favorable wet years it can reach up to 4.5 tons per hectare. Protein content in the grain reaches 34.8-41%, and fat content is 23-24%, making this variety valuable for the production of food products and animal feed. Sowing is recommended at the end of April - beginning of May, which is optimal for achieving maximum productivity.
