Soybean variety Suzirya is a mid-late maturity hybrid developed by the method of multiple individual selection at the Institute of Agronomy of UAAN. In the conditions of the Kyiv region, this variety reaches maturity in 110–115 days. Plants have a height of 90–92 cm with an intermediate growth type, and the lower pods are located at a height of 13–14 cm. Inflorescences are racemose with 12–14 purple flowers. Seeds are oval, yellow in color with a brown hilum, medium size, with a 1000-seed mass of 220–240 g. The variety exhibits high resistance to major diseases, lodging, and shattering, as well as to low temperatures during flowering and fruiting. It shows drought tolerance and resistance to pod cracking, ensuring stable and reliable yield. Suzirya is recommended for cultivation in the Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe zones of Ukraine, where it demonstrates a yield potential of up to 4.5 t/ha with protein content in the grain of 37.5–43% and oil content around 20%. Soybean Suzirya is suitable for both feed production and food industry. Due to its high quality grain characteristics and resistance to adverse conditions, the variety can be used in crop rotation, including as a predecessor for winter crops. Recommended planting density depends on row width: at 18 cm — 650–700 thousand plants per hectare, at 35 cm — approximately 600 thousand plants, which promotes optimal development and maximum productivity of the crop.
