Altona

Altona soybean variety is a high-yielding indeterminate type with a vegetative period of 120-130 days, intended for late cultivation segments. It features a light seed coat color and large seeds with a 1000-seed weight of 195-205 grams. Protein content in the seeds reaches 42-46%, and oil content is around 20-25%, making this variety especially valuable for the food industry. The sum of effective temperatures required for successful maturation is 2750°C.

Altona has a very high yield potential, confirmed by record results in national trials in Austria and Ukraine. The variety is characterized by high resistance to stress conditions, including water deficit during generative organ formation, as well as lodging resistance due to its genetic traits. Plants are relatively tall but maintain excellent health and resistance to major diseases such as bacterial blight, downy mildew, sclerotinia, and viral infections.
