Silverwhale F1 Spinach — an early hybrid variety developed by the Dutch company Rijk Zwaan. This variety is characterized by high yield, reaching up to 3.5 kg per square meter, and is suitable for cultivation in greenhouses, polytunnels, as well as on balcony beds. The plant tolerates low temperatures well, allowing it to be grown in spring and early autumn, although it is not heat- or drought-resistant.
The leaves of Silverwhale spinach are dark green, round in shape, and have a smooth, shiny surface. The leaf blades are thick and dense, ensuring high-quality greens. The compact medium-sized plant is ideal for "baby leaf" technology, enabling the harvesting of tender young leaves for fresh consumption and industrial processing.
The greens are rich in vitamins, contain a significant amount of protein, mineral salts, and iron. Due to its pleasant taste, spinach is widely used in preparing fresh salads, vegetable side dishes, soups, sauces, and baked goods. To preserve freshness, leaves are packaged in vacuum-sealed containers and frozen for winter storage, which allows maintaining their nutritional properties and flavor for a long time.
