Description HEDGEHOG
Hawthorn variety "Hedgehog" – a high-yielding medium-height shrub with a straight crown and weak-stemmed trunk. The bush is covered with dense thorns that protect the plant from pests. The fruit is large, oval-shaped, weighs about 3.8 g, and has a cream-orange tint.

Maturity period – mid-August, which allows harvesting in one of the most convenient seasons. One bush can yield up to 4 kg of fruits, making the variety suitable for both home growing and small commercial plantations. To maintain high productivity, the plant needs thinning three years after planting: remove shoots that have stopped fruiting, and conduct annual crown cleaning.

The variety is characterized by good winter hardiness and drought resistance, making it suitable for growing in various climatic conditions. However, the plant is susceptible to pests, so regular spraying with protective agents is required. Thanks to the decorative appearance of the bushes and the bright color of the fruits, "Hedgehog" attracts attention both from gardeners and those who appreciate the beneficial properties of hawthorn.
