Salut – a perennial sage with early and prolonged flowering, which attracts bees and butterflies with its tender pink inflorescences. Bushes reach a height of 30 to 60 cm, a width of up to 40 cm, and have green, wrinkled leaves raised above the soil. The flower appears as early as May, and after the first wave, faded inflorescences can be cut off – this stimulates the growth of new buds and ensures a more generous second flowering in autumn.
The plant is perfect for sunny plots even with poor soil. It is resistant to various climatic conditions, including hardy varieties that continue to bloom until late autumn. Salut is easy to grow in gardens, containers, rockeries, and herb gardens, creating a Mediterranean flavor due to the combination with silvery plants.
Salut is also valued as a decorative element for cut flowers: long inflorescences are easily arranged into bouquets. The plant prefers sunny places and loose, drained soil; it grows best on lime-rich and not too moist soil. Due to its compactness and dense bush, sage Salut becomes an ideal choice for small gardens and coastal areas.
