Yudinka

Yudinka is a medium-early root celery variety that matures within 130-165 days from germination to technical maturity, depending on growing conditions. The plant forms a semi-spreading rosette of 19-23 dark green leaves with upright petioles measuring 18 to 29 cm in length. The root crops are round in shape, greyish-white in color, with dense and medium-succulent flesh, weighing from 200 to 600 grams and measuring approximately 8-9 cm in height and 10-11.5 cm in diameter. The root crop is embedded in the soil about halfway, has weak branching, and is easily pulled out, which facilitates harvest and allows for mechanized cultivation methods.

The variety is distinguished by high yield — up to 3.2 kg of root crops per square meter, and when harvested together with leaves, the yield can reach 7 kg/m2. Yudinka has good resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew, downy mildew, and septoria, as well as to bolting. Thanks to the uniform immersion of root crops and weak branching, the variety is convenient for processing and storage. It is recommended to grow using the seedling method to achieve optimal results.

The root crops of the Yudinka variety have aromatic white flesh, which is widely used in cooking. They are fried, stuffed, added to salads, and small root crops are suitable for forcing greens during the winter period. In addition, celery of this variety has beneficial properties: it stimulates appetite, increases the body's tone, aids in normalizing metabolism, and is beneficial for sleep disorders and nervous system exhaustion.
