PARUBOK is a quick-maturing root celery variety that matures within 140-155 days from germination. The plant forms a small rosette of 19-22 leaves, and the root crop has a round shape and a mass of up to 150 grams. The root crop flesh is white, characterized by good taste and a bright aroma, making this variety particularly attractive for growing both in home gardens and for commercial purposes.
For successful cultivation of PARUBOK, the seedling method is recommended. Before sowing, seeds are soaked in room-temperature water for a couple of days to accelerate germination, then slightly dried and sown in boxes with a soil mixture of sod land, manure, and sand to a depth of about 0.5 cm. Pricking out is conducted after the first true leaves appear, which helps in forming a strong and healthy seedling.
The variety is distinguished by high yield — from 1.7 to 3.0 kg per square meter, as well as resistance to diseases and unfavorable weather conditions. PARUBOK is suitable for growing in open ground and ensures a stable crop harvest in July. Its unpretentiousness and excellent taste qualities make this celery in demand among gardeners and vegetable growers.
