KOLOBOK is a late-maturing, high-yield head lettuce variety that reaches full maturity 87-94 days after germination. Recommended for cultivation in both open and protected ground, preferably on fertile and fertilized soils. Seeds can be sown directly into the ground in April-May, or seedlings can be grown in March-April with subsequent transplanting in May using a 30x30 cm scheme. The variety is suitable for cultivation both via seedling and non-seedling methods.
KOLOBOK features a semi-erect leaf rosette, large leaves of dark green color with a bluish tint, weakly blistered, juicy and crisp. Heads are round, dense and elastic, with a white-green cut, weighing from 350 to 400 grams. The variety is characterized by uniform heads and excellent taste qualities — leaves are tender, oily and slightly sweet, giving the lettuce a refreshing taste.
KOLOBOK is valued for its high yield, reaching 3.0-3.5 kg per square meter, as well as for a long period of commercial shelf life and resistance to bolting. The leaf shape is ideal for serving, allowing them to be used as 'saucers' for salads and cold appetizers, making this variety versatile and attractive for various culinary applications.
