ZANZIBAR sugar beet is a monopodial diploid hybrid characterized by rapid initial growth and high yield. Thanks to its fast germination and early stage development, this variety ensures a stable and high-quality harvest. In various regions of Russia, including the Central Black Soil Region and the Middle Volga Region, ZANZIBAR demonstrates excellent productivity indicators.
The hybrid is characterized by high sugar content, reaching an average of 18-20.7%, which makes it attractive for sugar production. Average root crop yield is about 445-512 centners per hectare, with individual root crop mass reaching approximately 608 grams. In some regions, for example in the Lipetsk region, the yield of this variety exceeded average indicators by 82 centners per hectare, indicating its high adaptability and productivity.
ZANZIBAR has good resistance to a number of diseases, such as root rot and cercosporosis, which reduces crop losses and reduces the need for intensive plant protection. However, the variety is susceptible to powdery mildew, which requires attention in agronomic measures. Thanks to its qualities and adaptability, ZANZIBAR sugar beet is suitable for growing in various climatic conditions and regions of Russia, ensuring a stable and high yield of sugar beet.
