Rye Will

Reliability for Winter Seeding

The winter rye variety 'Volya', developed by the Nosivka Selection and Research Station, is a proven choice for farms facing challenging climatic conditions. It is specifically valued as a 'security crop,' ensuring stable yields in regions prone to harsh winters and on soils with lower fertility levels.

Practical Applications in Farm Management

• Harvest Efficiency: The high lodging resistance is the primary advantage of this variety. It allows farmers to plan intensive nutrient application strategies without the risk of crop collapse. The strong stems ensure smooth combine operation, significantly reducing harvest losses.
• Economic Stability: 'Volya' is the go-to variety for lower-quality soil profiles where wheat performance might be unpredictable. It offers a consistent output of commercial grain or forage, minimizing the need for expensive fungicide applications.
• Early Season Feed Production: Due to its rapid regrowth in early spring, this variety serves as an excellent source of green mass, bridging the feed gap in livestock operations long before standard pastures are ready.

Integrating 'Volya' into your crop rotation allows for greater operational flexibility. The variety is highly adaptable to varying planting dates, making it an essential tool for managing the pressures of the autumn planting season. It is a pragmatic solution for agronomists who prioritize consistent performance and risk mitigation over high-maintenance intensive farming.
