Rye SU Ivar

German Breeding Excellence for High Yields

Winter rye "ZU Ivar" from the renowned hybridization expert Hybro Saatzucht GmbH&Co KG is the result of years of dedicated work by German plant breeders. This hybrid has firmly established itself on the market as a reliable tool for securing stable yields in the temperate climates of Europe and beyond.

Biological Potential and Field Performance

The development of "ZU Ivar" focused on endurance under challenging weather conditions. Farmers value this hybrid for its exceptional lodging resistance, which significantly facilitates the harvesting process and minimizes grain losses during the ripening stage. A key feature of the crop is its genetic resistance to major pathogens:

• Brown Rust: reliable protection of the leaf area.
• Rhynchosporium: minimized infection risk in high-humidity conditions.
• Powdery Mildew: maintaining crop productivity even in years with high fungal pressure.

Integration into Crop Rotation

"ZU Ivar" is designed for intensive farming systems. Thanks to the expert selection work by Hybro Saatzucht, the hybrid demonstrates excellent adaptability to various soil types, provided that standard fertilization and crop protection protocols are followed. The stability of this variety makes it an optimal choice for producers aiming for high-quality grain with superior baking properties. The manufacturer's reputation confirms that this selection provides a perfect balance between high yield potential and operational reliability.
