Rye Khamarka

Stable yields in challenging farming conditions

Winter rye 'Khamarka', developed by the V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute of NAAS, is a choice for agronomists aiming to minimize risks on complex or moisture-deficient soils. This variety is bred for high technology and efficiency, requiring minimal fungicide intervention while maintaining robust field performance until harvest.

Practical application and agronomic management

The primary advantage of this variety is delivering a predictable grain yield with optimized protection costs. Due to its genetic resistance to snow mold, 'Khamarka' is an excellent fit for regions with unstable winters, where frequent thaws and temperature fluctuations trigger fungal outbreaks. Its high lodging resistance allows for planting in highly fertile fields without the risk of yield loss due to weather conditions before harvesting.

• Phytosanitary control: The variety shows field resistance to brown leaf rust and powdery mildew. This reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications, significantly lowering the production cost per ton of grain.
• Operational flexibility: Mid-maturing traits allow for better machinery scheduling, ensuring a smooth and efficient harvest campaign.

If your operation prioritizes stability and you need a crop capable of withstanding the unpredictable Ukrainian climate without sacrificing quality, 'Khamarka' is a reliable asset for your crop rotation strategy.
