Horizon is a German variety of rosemary from the mint family, an evergreen shrub that is easy to grow at home. It prefers a well-lit room and is usually kept in containers that are brought indoors during winter. At temperatures from +2 to +8 °C, the plant blooms profusely, and its leaves and stems can be used as an aromatic additive ingredient to meat, salads, and sauces.
Rosemary is widely used in folk medicine: the inner part helps with stomach disorders, nervous disorders, insomnia, jaundice, and even impotence. Externally, the plant is used to treat neuritis, thrombophlebitis, parotitis, acne, baldness, as well as for gargling and mouth rinsing. Moreover, it is believed that rosemary prolongs youth and improves the energy of rooms.
For growing, seeds are soaked in a growth stimulant for 2 hours, then planted in loose soil or peat substrate, covered with film, and kept at a temperature of +18–+20 °C until seedlings appear. After germination (15–20 days), they are replanted into cups with two true leaves, and after a month – to their permanent location. When growing, it is important not to place the plant near roses, as this worsens growth and flowering. Pregnant women are advised to refrain from using this variety.
