The "Sweet Sleep" variety is an early-maturing fragrant perennial that begins yielding in the first year after planting - approximately 90-95 days from germination. Bushes reach a height of 50-60 cm and a diameter of about 40 cm, while maintaining lush greenery. The mass of one plant is 150-200 g, and the total yield of greens can reach 2.3 kg/m².
The leaves of the lemon balm "Sweet Sleep" have a pronounced lemon aroma and a spicy taste, which makes them widely used both fresh and dried. In folk medicine, the plant is valued for its calming properties: when making tea from fresh or dried greens, it has a relaxing effect, helps with insomnia and nervous tension.
The variety is characterized by high yield and resistance to unfavorable conditions. It grows well in sunny places with moderate climatic conditions, and flowering occurs in July-August, when pale blue-white flowers appear. Due to its aromatic properties, lemon balm "Sweet Sleep" is also used to flavor tea, vinegars, liqueurs, and tinctures.
