The "Sungorskina Memory" rootstock is the result of work by Michurin breeders, created at the Michurin State Agrarian University. It is distinguished by high winter hardiness and the ability to withstand frosts down to minus 16 degrees, making it an ideal choice for orchards in the central belt of Russia.
The key advantages of this rootstock include resistance to diseases and pests, as well as protection from winter desiccation (scorching). Thanks to these properties, the tree maintains health throughout the season, and farmers can expect a more stable yield. Yield reaches 15–30 tons per hectare, which significantly exceeds the indicators of many traditional varieties.
The rootstock is compatible with all existing apple tree varieties and is actively used within the framework of the federal import substitution program. In addition, it increases the output of hybrid seeds by 1.5–2 times, making it a valuable resource for breeders and seed material producers.
