Fortuna is a clonal vigorous rootstock designed for growing plumcot, plum, and peach. The bush is upright with straight, non-pubescent shoots of brownish-brown color. Leaves are elongated-oval, dark green, corrugated, non-pubescent, with a doubly serrated wavy edge. The rootstock does not form suckers, which facilitates care and increases yield.
Propagation is carried out both with green and hardwood cuttings: rooting of green cuttings reaches 84.5%, and hardwood cuttings – 85.5%. Thanks to this high germination, the rootstock ensures rapid rooting and stable growth. When used in plums and peaches, the yield of bearing trees is at or above that of seedling rootstocks.
Fortuna is distinguished by its resistance to biotic and abiotic stressors, making it suitable for intensive cultivation technologies. A well-developed root system ensures good anchorage of the trees, and early fruiting increases productivity and fruit quality. The rootstock is suitable for both traditional orchards and modern agro-technical systems, ensuring stable growth and high yields.
